About this class

Students explored throwing on a wheel and building basic forms.

Class taught by Douglas Williams

Douglas Williams received his Bachelors of special education in music from Lakehead University in 1991. He spent 10 years studying under Barry Barnes at the Mesa Arts Centre of Arizona from 1998-2008.

Williams taught ceramics at QHS from 2004-2014, co-founded the organisation Remplir des Bols in 2003, and remains an active ceramicist. He lives on Ile d’Orléans.

William’s is motivated to simply create natural earth born pieces that will be lived with.

After a lifetime of sampling all that interests me I have found myself repeatedly returning to the centring force of the wheel. This being my calling, long before I had even touched clay.
